Hi. I’m Justin Donlon and today I'm going to tell you about Partner Specializations. To fully enjoy the benefits of the Carbonite partner program, partners must be specialized in our solutions.
Carbonite has two specialization categories: Backup & Recovery and Availability & Migration. Partners can choose to be specialized in either one or both categories. The Backup and recovery specialization is focused on Carbonite Server and Carbonite Endpoint. The Availability and Migration specialization is focused on Carbonite Availability, Carbonite Migrate and Carbonite Recover. Carbonite offers sales and technical trainings with industry standard certifications within each of these categories.
The trainings are free, self-paced videos with a short multiple choice quiz at the end. Certifications are rewarded upon passing the quiz.
To become a Specialized Carbonite Partner, the partner must have at least two employees complete the sales certification and one employee complete the technical certification in each individual category. These trainings can be found in your Partner Portal under the training & support tab.
