Our human factors engineers are utilising wearable gaming technology that exists today so we can develop the cockpit of tomorrow.
The human machine interface technology is being used to test directional attention cues vs. traditional non-directional attention cues for pilots and Callum, one of our technician apprentices, got the opportunity to fly at 2G whilst supporting the testing of this technology that could be used in Tempest's future cockpit. ✈️
We're testing this technology as much as possible in our in-house facilities to gather as much data as possible about challenges we may face integrating these technologies into a fast-jet airborne environment.
